Granola has an official connector in Claude’s directory, built on its MCP server at https://mcp.granola.ai/mcp. In Claude, go to Customize, then Connectors, search for Granola, connect, and sign in. There’s no client ID or secret to enter. Claude can then search and read your meeting notes. The free plan covers the last 30 days, and transcripts need a paid plan.
Under two minutes. You need a Granola account with some meeting notes in it.
1
Step 1: Open connectors in Claude
Go to Customize, then Connectors, and click the plus sign to browse the directory.
2
Step 2: Find Granola and connect
Search for Granola and click Connect. Granola registers Claude on its own, so leave any client ID or secret fields blank.
3
Step 3: Sign in to the right Granola account
Sign in with the Granola account whose notes you want. It doesn’t have to use the same email as your Claude account.
4
Step 4: Check your active workspace
Claude reads the workspace that’s active in the Granola app. If you belong to more than one, switch in Granola before you ask.
5
Step 5: Turn it on in a chat
Click the plus sign, then Connectors, and toggle Granola on. Then ask about a meeting.
In Claude Code, run claude mcp add granola --transport http https://mcp.granola.ai/mcp, then /mcp to sign in. Enterprise teams can use Enterprise-Managed Authorization through their identity provider instead; Granola has tested it with Claude and Okta.
What Claude can read and do in Granola
From Granola’s and Anthropic’s own docs, as of October 20, 2026.
Reads
Notes you own, notes shared with you, and on paid plans, notes visible to your whole workspace
Each meeting’s title, date, attendees, private notes, and summary
Full transcripts and folders, on paid plans
Screenshots of screens shared during a meeting, such as slides
Does
Ask questions across your meetings through Granola’s own query tool
Switch your active workspace, which also switches it in the Granola app
Limits to know
Notes from other Granola workspaces aren’t included, even if they’re shared into yours.
On the free plan, Claude sees the last 30 days, and some folder, search, and transcript tools need a paid plan.
Rate limits average about 100 requests a minute across all tools.
On Enterprise, if admins turn on neither note scope, members can’t use Granola MCP at all.
Three ways reps use Claude with Granola
Copy the prompt, swap in your own deal, and run it with Granola toggled on. The results are illustrations with a made-up company, Acme.
Recap the call you just had
Granola has the notes. Claude turns them into the email you’d otherwise write at 6 PM.
You
Get my Granola notes from today’s call with Acme. Write a recap email to the buyer: what we heard, what we agreed, and the next step with a date. Under 150 words, in my voice.
ClaudeExample
Recap email to Acme
Hi Dana, thanks for today.
We heard: forecasts slip because updates land late.
Agreed: a pilot with two teams.
Next: pilot plan by Friday, Oct 31.
Turn the call into a CRM update
With a CRM connector on too, Claude can make the update once you approve the list.
You
From today’s Granola notes on Acme, list the CRM updates: stage, next step, close date, new contacts and their roles, and competitors mentioned. Then update the deal in HubSpot once I approve.
ClaudeExample
CRM updates from today’s call
Stage: Discovery to Proposal
Next step: pilot plan, due Oct 31
New contact: Priya Shah, IT lead
Competitor mentioned: an in-house tool
Quote the buyer back
On a paid plan, Claude can pull exact wording from the transcript for a proposal or a business case.
You
Pull the Granola transcripts from my last two calls with Acme and give me the exact quotes where they described the problem and the budget, with the date of each.
ClaudeExample
Acme in their own words
“We lose a week every quarter fixing the forecast.” (Oct 14)
“Budget is there if it pays back this year.” (Oct 20)
Safety and permissions
Claude inherits your Granola permissions. It can’t see or change anything you couldn’t. These are the settings worth checking before a team rolls it out.
Granola MCP acts as one signed-in user. There’s no API key or shared service account route.
It returns only notes you can already open, in your active workspace.
Enterprise admins choose whether members can reach personal notes, team notes, both, or neither.
You can sign Claude out of Granola from a chat, or disconnect it in Customize, then Connectors.
Claude alone vs with Arrows
Claude can drive one tool when one rep asks. Arrows drives the whole team’s stack on every deal, with no prompt. Arrows connects to Granola directly, and reads your Granola notes on the free Basic plan too.
Claude with the Granola connector
Who starts the work
A rep types a prompt.
How many deals
The one the rep is asking about.
What it follows
That rep’s prompt.
Which tools
Granola, plus whatever else that rep has connected.
Who decides what can happen
Each person’s tool permissions: Always allow, Needs approval, or Blocked.
After the call
A rep asks Claude for a recap, then makes the CRM update or asks a CRM connector to.
Calls that never sync
Claude can read them, if the rep thinks to ask.
Arrows
Who starts the work
Arrows starts on its own when something happens on a deal. No prompt.
How many deals
Every deal in the pipeline.
What it follows
Your team’s playbook and each deal’s gameplan.
Which tools
Your team’s CRM, email, call recorder, and docs, through MCP.
Who decides what can happen
Leaders set Off, Ask first, or Allow for every tool, for the whole team.
After the call
Arrows drafts the follow-up and the CRM update from the Granola notes, for the rep to approve.
Calls that never sync
Arrows gets the full transcript straight from Granola, even for a call that never syncs to the CRM.
Arrows is its own product, not part of Claude. Your reps can keep using Claude alongside it.
Agent kickoff
Every tool. Every deal. No prompts.
An Agent Architect connects your stack and sets what Arrows can do in each tool. Then Arrows does the follow-through on every deal, and your reps approve what matters.
Yes. Granola’s official MCP server is at https://mcp.granola.ai/mcp, and its Claude connector is in Claude’s directory. It works with Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, and other tools that support MCP.
How do I connect Granola to Claude?
In Claude, go to Customize, then Connectors, search for Granola, and click Connect. Sign in with your Granola account and toggle Granola on in a chat. You don’t need a client ID or secret.
Do I need a paid Granola plan to use the MCP?
No. The free Basic plan gives Claude your personal notes from the last 30 days. Business adds notes shared across the workspace, plus transcripts and folders. On Enterprise, admins choose which notes members can reach.
Can Claude read Granola transcripts?
Yes, on paid Granola plans. The transcript tool returns the raw transcript for a meeting. On the free plan, Claude works from your notes and summaries.
Why can’t Claude find my Granola notes?
Usually it’s the workspace or the account. Claude reads only the workspace that’s active in the Granola app, so switch there first. Check you signed in with the Granola account that owns the notes. On the free plan, notes older than 30 days are out of reach.
Does Granola MCP work with Claude Code?
Yes. Run claude mcp add granola --transport http https://mcp.granola.ai/mcp, start Claude Code again, run /mcp, pick Granola, and sign in.
