A Deal Gameplan grows with the deal. By the time you’re in late stage, there might be a dozen steps behind you: the first call, the recap, the demo, the follow-ups, the security questionnaire. That history is useful. But when you open a deal’s Arrows space, you want to see what’s next, not scroll past what’s done.
Now the gameplan keeps finished work out of the way.
Finished steps fold away
Steps that are done or dismissed move into their own section in the gameplan sidebar. That section starts collapsed, so the top of the plan is what’s coming up and what needs you.
The sidebar also has a more condensed look, so more of the plan fits on screen at once.
When you want the history, open the section. Every finished step is still there, in order, with the work that went with it.
Finished work moves down inside a step
The same idea applies inside each step. A step can hold several pieces of work: an email, a CRM update, a task. As you complete or dismiss them, they move to their own section at the bottom of the step page, with completed work listed first.
What’s left at the top is what you still need to do.
An example
You open a deal that’s been running for six weeks. Before, the sidebar opened on a long list starting with the discovery call.
Now it opens on the two steps that matter this week: “Send the security answers to IT” and “Prep for the pricing call.” Everything before that is folded away, one click away if you need to check what was sent after the demo.
Inside “Send the security answers to IT,” the email to IT is at the top, ready for review. The CRM update you already applied sits below it with the finished work.
Why it matters
A gameplan is most useful when you can read it in a few seconds. Between calls, you want to open a space, see what’s next, and act. Folding away the finished work keeps the plan short, without losing any of the deal’s history.
Getting started
There’s nothing to set up. Open any space, and the gameplan shows what’s next first. Open the Resolved section in the sidebar anytime to see the deal’s history.
