Is Claude still enough for your sales team? A two-minute check

For one or two sellers, a good Claude setup is often all you need. Answer ten yes-or-no questions to see whether your team has outgrown it.

If your team runs deals through Claude, you’ve probably built something good. Connected tools, skills your reps use, maybe a few things that run on their own. That’s more than most sales teams have done.

The hard part comes later, and it’s easy to miss. Once you’ve been at it a while, you get used to the workarounds and stop noticing them. These questions help you spot them.

First: is this the right check?

Arrows, and this check, are about working deals already in your pipeline: follow-ups, CRM updates, call prep, and next steps. If your biggest problem right now is getting more leads into the pipeline, this isn’t the fix. Spend your time there, and keep using Claude and our free Claude sales skills for your deals.

Is Claude still enough for your sales team?

Ten yes-or-no questions about how your team uses Claude today. If it happens sometimes, that’s a yes.

  1. 1Do you have more than three sellers working deals?

  2. 2Has each rep ended up with their own version of your prompts or skills?

  3. 3Do some reps skip the skills you built, so your process only happens when someone remembers?

  4. 4Do reps write follow-ups by hand because the AI drafts never quite sound like them?

  5. 5Do follow-ups or CRM updates get skipped on busy days because nobody asked Claude for them?

  6. 6Does someone double-check most of what the AI produces before trusting it?

  7. 7Does one person spend hours a week building, fixing, or explaining your AI setup?

  8. 8Have you had to pull an engineer off product work to help automate sales?

  9. 9Does your top rep do things you can’t get the rest of the team to copy?

  10. 10Would it stop working if the person who set it up left tomorrow?

What your score means

0 to 3 yeses: stay with Claude. You’re getting real value and the setup isn’t costing you much. Our free Claude sales skills cover the daily brief, pre-call prep, post-call follow-up, deal nudges, and a weekly pipeline review.

4 to 6 yeses: you’re starting to outgrow Claude. Claude can do the work. The problem is that someone has to ask it every time, and every rep does it a little differently. Keep an eye on whether these come up more often.

7 or more yeses: you’ve outgrown Claude. Your team is spending real time keeping the AI running. Your process only happens when a rep remembers to use it, and the deals nobody asks Claude about are the ones getting dropped.

If you’ve outgrown it

You have two options:

  • Build a team version. That means something that runs without being asked, one shared playbook, a plan for every deal, a place for reps to approve the work, and someone to maintain it all. Here’s everything it takes, and a business case to weigh it.
  • Use Arrows. Every rep follows your playbook on every open deal, and nobody has to ask it to do anything. Your Agent Architect keeps the playbook current, and nothing goes out until a rep approves it.

Your reps don’t have to stop using Claude either way. It’s still great for research and one-off writing.
