When it comes to customer onboarding, one size does not fit all. ❌

You've likely created a more comprehensive, white-glove experience for your enterprise clients, while your SMB customers might receive more of a quick, self-guided approach.

With Arrows templates, you can easily create unique onboarding journeys for each of your customer segments.

Take it a step further and use your CRM data to organize your new customers into segments. Pop that data into a HubSpot workflow, and then you can automatically trigger the right Arrows plan for each new client.

Here’s how it works:

Pre-work:

  • Make sure you have an Arrows template created for each of your customer segments
  • Use another workflow to automatically create a new onboarding deal or ticket when a deal moves to closed-won in the sales pipeline

Workflow setup:

1. Trigger the workflow when a new deal or ticket moves to the stage “Ready for Onboarding” in our onboarding pipeline

2. Use an if/then branch to create different experiences for your different customer types

In this example, we're segmenting by Enterprise and SMB customer types.

3. For each customer segment or branch in your workflow, use the Create Arrows plan workflow action to create an Arrows onboarding plan.

🌟 Make sure you choose the right Arrows workflow action based on the HubSpot object (deals, tickets, or custom objects) you're using to run onboarding.

4. Inside the workflow action, select the Arrows template you want to use for each customer segment, choose if you want to automatically add associated contacts as participants, and if you want to sent participants an automated invite email

🌟 Note: you can customize the invite email content inside your Arrows account!

You're all set! Now, when a new customer is ready for onboarding, you can make sure they're sent the right Arrows onboarding plan every time!
