Do you want a clear separation between how different teams manage customers?

Many teams want to avoid conflicts between how teams use specific objects. For example, if sales is already using HubSpot deals, then managing onboarding using HubSpot tickets creates a clear separation.

Having a separate pipeline for each stage means means:

  1. You have control over the stages and content in each pipeline
  2. You have timestamped data about pipeline movements to report on performance
  3. You don’t disrupt the sales team and their pipeline reporting with additional stages
  4. There is clear delineation of ownership over who is responsible for the customer's experience
  5. You can display information specific to each lifecycle stage on the deal/ticket card in the pipeline

1. Set up your pipeline stages based on your own sales process

To configure your deal stages in HubSpot, go to Settings > Objects > Deals > Pipelines

2. Customize your deal card with the properties that are most critical in your sales process

To configure your deal card view in HubSpot, go to Settings > Objects > Deals > Pipelines > Customize board and card view

In our sales pipeline example, we'll show the Amount, Close Date, Next step, and Deal owner properties

Onboarding pipeline setup using HubSpot tickets

1. Set up your pipeline stages based on your own onboarding process

To configure your deal stages in HubSpot, go to Settings > Objects > Tickets > Pipelines

2. Customize your ticket card with the properties that are most critical in your onboarding process

To configure your deal card view in HubSpot, go to Settings > Objects > Tickets > Pipelines > Customize ticket card

In our onboarding pipeline example, we'll show the HubSpot ticket owner along with Arrows plan data on the ticket card:

  • Arrows Current Task Name
  • Onboarding Plan Progress %
  • Target Date
