If you're already an Arrows customer, this might look familiar—this is exactly how we set up our own payment links in our onboarding plans!

If you use Stripe payment links for billing, it's simple to automatically populate those links inside Arrows tasks so customers can easily pay and move forward with their onboarding.

All you need is a simple workflow in HubSpot and some branches to set the right payment links for the right customers. Here's how to do it:

Step 1: Set Up HubSpot Properties

  1. Create a Pricing Tier Property
    • Ensure you have a property (ideally a dropdown) where sales reps input the pricing tier your customers sign up for.
    • Make this property a required field for your sales reps to complete.
  2. Create a Stripe Payment Link Property
    • Add a single-line text property called "Stripe Payment Link."

Note: Make sure these properties are on the same HubSpot object that's connected to your Arrows onboarding plans. In this example, we'll use Deals.

Step 2: Build a Workflow in HubSpot

  1. Set the Trigger
    • Trigger the workflow when the "Pricing Tier" property is known.
  2. Add a Branch for Pricing Tiers
    • Create branches based on each of your "Pricing Tier" properties.
  3. Update Records with Payment Links
    • Use the "Edit Record" workflow action within each branch to automatically set the correct Stripe payment link for each pricing tier.

That’s it for the workflow—super easy!

Step 3: Populate Stripe Links Inside Your Arrows Task

Now that the workflow is ready, let’s set it up to automatically populate the payment link in your Arrows task.

  1. Set Up a Payment Task
    • Create a task in Arrows that prompts customers to pay for your product or service.
  2. Add a Button Action
    • Inside the task, add a Button task action.
    • Label the button. For example, "Pay for Arrows."
  3. Use Dynamic Text for the Button Link
    • In the Arrows right sidebar, go to the "Dynamic text" tab.
    • Search for your "Stripe Payment Link" property in the Dynamic Text list.
    • Copy and paste it into the "Button Link" field.

Done!

Now, whenever the "Stripe Payment Link" property is known in HubSpot, it will automatically populate inside your Arrows task. This quick setup ensures your customers can pay quickly and continue their onboarding without delays.
